Present from Mrs. W

Caren's Mom, ie, Mrs. W, is a full on quilter extraordinaire. Like the real deal on creating masterpiece quilts (she's even award winning!).  And if you're really lucky (because maybe you got on her good list at some point. i think i landed there by keeping her daughter in line for all those middle school and high school years:) you may receive something like this at your door step after you get married or after you have a baby; the beautiful fruits of her hours of labor.

Can you believe it?? Sadly my pictures are probably not doing this justice. The quilt is really thick and wonderfully stitched. It's just beautiful!  And she even included a darling pillow and handmade pillowcase to match. This gift is so sweet and something we will cherish forever. (of course I've already encouraged Mrs. W. to open up her very own Etsy.com shop. she's not interested in going into biz during her retirement years but she'd kill it if she did. just my opin:)

The Monkey was infatuated with the bear. She kept taking her finger and running it along the edges.

Thank you so much, Mrs. W!  You are so wonderfully meticulous with your craft and I'm so thankful to be on the receiving end of such a thoughtful gift. We will get lots and lots of use out of both. And then when she's too big to enjoy them, I'll tuck them away in a safe place and make sure she has them forever.
