The ottoman

You've likely realized this but in case you didn't, the Monkey has spent quite a bit of her waking life on our living room ottoman. Pre-rolling machine, this was the place where she'd hang out, play with toys, find her toes, suck on her hands, and much more. All the fun, pre-rolling activities. It was the perfect place to lie the Monkey down where I could sit on the floor and be at her eye level and play all day long. Of course, she was down on the carpet and floor as well. Tummy time and her play mat were used often, but nothing got as much wear as the ottoman.

Now the days of the ottoman are quickly coming to an end. Since the Monkey is a serious roll master, we need to stick to the floor for our day time activities. Bye bye ottoman. You've really put your time in and we're so sad to see you go. Thanks for spending so much time with my daughter. She really appreciates your constant support.

Here is the Monkey today showing Mommy why the ottoman is now going into retirement. (i.e., - will be used again when she's pulling herself up on furniture. as my Aunt Jan just pointed out, an ottoman will be much better around here with a baby than a coffee table with sharp edges:)

Legs up, hip over and....over she goes.
