I finally got around to reading the Sunday newspaper and fell upon this fun little nugget. This Sunday the Charlotte Checkers and the Humane Society of Charlotte are hosting a Pooch Party at the game vs. the Gwinnett Gladiators. The game starts at 2pm and dog owners are encouraged to bring their pets to see the Checkers. Here's where you can find more information about the Pooch Party and buy tix online. $6 of every ticket purchased through their web site will go to support the Humane Society. What a great cause! We've wanted to take the Monkey to a Checkers game and haven't yet so we are definitely going. Anyone want to join us??
