"Lap Lovers"

Eloise has been classified a "Lap Lover" according to the Public Library of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County. A perfect name for her and the new friends she met today at our very first story hour appropriately titled for little ones ages "babies to crawlers".

In attendance were 15 kiddos (another 'Ellie'!) and 15 moms all entertained by a very animated story teller who sang songs, blew bubbles and told a really cute story all about elephants. Oh, and there was a giant stuffed elephant who touched noses with all of the babies. Very cute.

Eloise was completely mesmerized by the other babies and the bubbles. I'm convinced she didn't blink one time the entire hour we were there. Instead, she elected for one constant stare of all the activity around her. She was much too afraid she'd miss something, I'm sure.

Today's "Lap Lovers" was 20 minutes then the room was open for the moms to stay and chat with one another for an extra 40 minutes. A perfect length for the little babies. 2 Eloise thumbs up on this activity. We'll definitely go back!

Later, after we got home, I sat miss Eloise up in a big chair and got some pics. Per usual, there was no particular reason for today's pics. Except of course because she's cute - and getting so big! (Maybe she's on to something - no blinking. Because if I blink, she'll be hopping on the bus for kindergarten.)
